My name is Xiaoyi Chen.

I have worked at Replit and Salesforce on developer tools. I want to help people find the joy of programming and create with the power of computers. I believe that better human computer interaction is the most impactful way to achieve that goal.

My work has predominantly revolved around user interfaces and developer tools, but I'm also keen on delving into diverse fields of computer science. I think the possibility of artificial general intelligence would change everything in the equation. Ultimately anyone, who is able to express themselves, would be able to use the power of computers to the fullest to create.

You can find me on the internet here: Twitter, GitHub, Replit, and Email.

Books I'm reading at the moment:

I'm currently taking The spelled-out intro to language modeling, by Andrej Karpathy. It's a great intro to language modeling with a hands-on approach. Keeping my notebooks here (wip): Micrograd, Bigram model.
